About Erasmus in Prague
Erasmus in Prague began around 14 years ago, inspired by our founder Vojta’s own Erasmus exchange in Denmark (shout out to all Aalborg students, beautiful city! 😁). It brought new friendships, unfamiliar places that slowly became familiar, and stories that lasted long beyond the semester. It also showed him how much the right people, shared adventures, and a little help at the beginning can shape your time abroad. That experience became the starting point for Erasmus in Prague. Over the years, the team has grown into a mix of locals and internationals. Some of us grew up in Prague, while others came here from abroad and decided to stay. We all have our own international journeys behind us, whether through travelling, studying, or living in other countries. We know Prague well, but we also understand the excitement and uncertainty of finding your feet somewhere new. Today, we help students with the practical side of moving to Prague, from finding accommodation to understanding how things work. But that is only one part of it. A semester abroad is shaped by the people you meet and the everyday moments you share with them. A message in a group chat. Joining an event without knowing anyone. A spontaneous plan that turns into a great night. Finding the first few people who make a new city begin to feel like home.
